I use "Glasses Direct" on-line. Get your prescription and enter the details when prompted by the site.
Their site makes it easy and tell you how to get the right measurements for your new specs. They also offer a guaranteed replacement if you find they don't fit.
They used to be the cheapest on line but have gone a bit poncey of late with new "designer" styles but are still cheaper than Spec Savers.
The whole family now uses them (apart from Minimus as he doesn't need glasses)

I would not personally use anyone else.

SWWLTBO buys her contact lenses on line from some company in the Channel Islands but has specs, tinted for driving and plain for sewing and close work. Contacts are worn during the day.

Once you use them, like every other on-line company they send you regular catalogues through the post.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I use Glasses Direct too, no problems whatsoever. I don't know if it's for all prescriptions but online opticians need the "pupillary distance". Most High Street opticians don't give you this because they know that the online opticians need it. You are entitled to have it, so ask them to add the dimension to your prescription, it'll save a return journey
