Scrapping the Quangoes

I would never have imagined so many people were employed, at our expense, to do so little of any real value.
The list (to be found via the link) shows which ones are to be scrapped, which will be merged with others and which will be transferred to the appropriate Government Department.

I wonder if it will really save any money?

Anyway the list is here in case anyone should feel that their particular interest will be effected....... Something to have a moan about anyway.

I heard the idiot on the radio this morning say that it isn't about saving money - well it damn well should be! 

The very nature of a Quango is that it is an unelected body sucking on the teat of the taxpayer - they should ALL go!

Problem is the Quangos are run by troughers, report to troughers and will be 'eliminated' by fellow troughers... I wonder how many of the staff will really end up looking for jobs in the real world?
