Disneyland Paris ...power lines came down on return journey.
Abandoned on packed Eurostar from 6pm to 9 am the next day ( french staff just left) , No food, drink or heating ( was Oct / Nov) . Kids screaming all night long, blokes getting angry and converting into mob mentality, people screaming at each other, sick people that had visited before they popped their clogs.
Met in the morning by new train staff, camera crew and police with machine guns telling everyone to get back on train. They would attend to cancer patients and babies first
Still didn't move until 2 pm that afternoon and then only to Charles De Gaulle airport where they had chartered 1 plane ( obviously not enough for the numbers of passengers on the train) so hoooge scramble, running through airport, jostling, bartering and more anger as it was a first in queue got seats allocation.
Arrived back to Britain finally late the next night, to be met by representatives from Eurostar handing out Mickey Mouse soft toys to the kids
- they really should have thought that one through.
Full reimbursements of all costs plus compensation awarded almost immediately ..plus another free trip, 1st class, back to Disneyland Paris
