The first signs of Spring
« on: March 01, 2011, 03:29:43 PM »
Today I have had 3 different window cleaners knock on the door seeking work.

Each has been told I already have a window cleaner and have been very satisfied with his work over the last 5 years. Each has offered to do it cheaper ~ without even knowing what I pay the regular chap.

Once upon a time I looked forward to the first cuckoo, the crocus peeping up through the lawn, the larks soaring overhead but now it's fvcking shaven headed yoofs touting to clean the windows.
How the werld has changed. surrender:

It has indeed Snoops, round here it is builders.  Everyone seems to be having something outside done. Drives, garages raised beds wood piles etc. By the looks of things this doing of things has not made much progress over the last few years if not longer. Oiks rock up and offer to finish the job.  I find it all most disconcerting. surrender:

I see the first sofas are starting to pop up in laybys round here as well.

Once the fridges appear it is only a few weeks before the cuckoos arrive.
