Love him or hate him I have to agree with him on this.

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Slightly connected... there is an advert on Forces Radio at the moment pushing a book that some commander or other has written...

"Words cannot communicate the true feeling of war - only poetry can".

It winds me up so much...  redface:

When this lousy war is over no more soldiering for me,
When I get my civvy clothes on, oh how happy I shall be.
No more church parades on Sunday, no more begging for a pass.
You can tell the sergeant-major to stick his passes up his arse.
