A fixed penalty notice? That's it???

I'm sorry but if the patient dies because you are too feckin ignorant and selfish to move your car so the air ambulance can land then you are responsible for their death and deserve a hell of a lot more. Surely its reckless endangerment at the very least, if not manslaughter.

I note they say they couldn't land 'in case he threw his shoe' at the helicopter...  rubschin:

The cynic in me tells me that there is more to this story... couldn't they have landed elsewhere...? Shrugs:

Hmmmmm

Sensationalist reporting from the Wail, if I'm reading it right

I'm not condoning his actions, but "A seriously ill patient was forced to wait almost half-an-hour for Blackpool's Air Ambulance - because a man refused to move from its landing space" .... 24 minutes from taking off to landing in total, not the time they were asking the man to move his car

They seem to be concerned that he was Polish, what bearing does that have on the story

A quick look on Google maps shows lots more places that were closer than the hotel, there's a golf course next to the hospital grounds ffs

Air ambulance chief pilot John Taylor said: 'We thought we were dealing with a lunatic at the landing site - I doubt that he's been on his "dealing with the media course"

He had also parked next to the gate access to the site - next to, not in front of

The air ambulance is called when speed is of the essence. - Like when I called for an ambulance at an RTI and had said that somebody thought they had a broken ankle, ten minutes later the A34 is closed for 30 minutes while they sort her out... boys and toys it seems at times, or justifying its use

If the air ambulance gives no greater level of care than a normal ambulance, the trip to Lancaster would have taken longer than the time he took to die, he'd probably of died anyway

I just don't understand it. People sometimes obstruct the police because they don't like them - all we do is try to give patients the best chance they can get. - I'm sure the Police try their best too regardless of if they are liked or not

He was issued with a fixed penalty notice for disorder and it is understood his car was impounded. - they know he was issued with a FPN, but UNDERSTAND his car was impounded ... hhmmm

As Barman said, there's more to this
LiFe - It's an "F" in lie

Air ambulance chief pilot John Taylor said "We know the delay wasn't the cause of his death"

 confused2:
