Seems common place on the news these days to be able to watch the graphic and gory death  or murder of individuals.

On the news this morning they were showing clips from Syria about the slaughter there , dead men being thrown into the river, inncocent little kids injuries. Then cut to east Africa and lets watch a starving kid die . Then back to Norway to indulge in the funeral of some of the victims and a chance to show the same footage again of wasted lives.

Wasn't there a time when this would have been  reported but the visual stuff would have been too upsetting to broadcast until the watershed time at least ?

Are we  now immune to it all, so saturated by 'sympathetic' coverage we don't give a toss.  Therefore they have to shock us even more to take notice. Or do we have to actually have visual evidence before we believe anything to be true these days. For all that is worth  noooo:

It is because it is all available on Live Leak and, to a lesser extent, You Tube. But you said "this morning" and I wouldn't want Adam seeing that stuff, but he prolly already has. The Spanish newspapers in August are always full of car crashes complete with corpses and body parts. Is the intention to inform or deter? Every August is the same. I suggest it may inspire some nutters
