Alternative to Outlook
« on: October 09, 2011, 07:58:27 PM »
I have purchased a new laptop...

My copy of Office 2003 is not genuine and I don't want to install it...

New laptop comes with Office 2010 already loaded...but you have to purchase a product key

There is an option to use the 2010 starter pack for free...It is just word and excel but I don't really need anything else...bit like Open Office I suspect...I have activated it and it is perfick for what I need...

I am very angry with Staples, who tried to sell me Office 2010 after I carefully explained what I needed like...bastards did not advise that there was an option to use the starter pack...

However...the starter pack does not come with Outlook...

I need a professional (free) alternative to Outlook.  I have established email addresses which I access through Outlook at the moment and I want to use the same email addresses. They are pop and smtp based...I do not want to use hotmail or yahoo.

Any suggestions...
