What is going on with charities? The TV ads (cost a fortune) are now riddled with "For just £3 a month....." it seems I can sponsor:

Polar Bears
Kids with no water
Blind kids
Elephants
Tigers
BIBLES FFS!! BIBLES!!

I am infuriated  cussing: cussing: cussing: cussing:

Maybe I should put out a TV ad for me!!!!

It is a total rip-off.

If you have spare cash, why not adopt a turnip for only £1.50 a month?

It will write you a nice letter in return and remember you in its prayers every night.

I once worked out that if I gave every charity that contacted me to ask for "just £3 a month" I would be committing my entire income to other people. Charity begins at home!  evil:

These ad' infuriate me too. More than anything it is the voice.  It starts all doleful and full of doom, gloom and pathos but when they get to the 'give us yer money' the voice rises and is full of hope.  cussing:
