The council probably stole it from Wales. BTW I now have to have a permit to go to the local waste dump/recyclilng place. This is to prevent people not of this county from dumping there. Now the non-county people who live a mile from this dump will have to drive 5 miles to their own!.
Idiocy.
Is that truely the case Nick or is the council just taking extra precautions after your last visit to the dump?

Nah ~ In Denbighshire we have to prove we are residents too.
They started out, 'bout eighteen months ago, checking where you bought your tax disc but had to change that plan when it was pointed out that Disabled Discs are issued direct thus do not have a local Post Office stamp on them. Then they wanted to see a utility bill. Wife had a problem with that one as all bills are in my name and the Jobs-Worth couldn't work that out.
I had a stand up row because my car has a Motabilty Issued Tax Disc and the Number Plate was from the next county (which is where the Motability Dealer is). After I threatened to do him physical harm he summoned a supervisor who explained the new rules to him in words he could understand .... since which time he has always helped me unload any stuff I take there.
