Not surprising but frightening none the less. I suppose they do these things to us just because they can.

I remember a few years ago when Mark Thomas was on about Menwith Hill being used by the yanks to monitor communications to gain financial data so this just means that they are starting to admit to more than they have previously

I'm gonna start a Bin Laden fan club and wait and see how long before the NSA joins.    whistle:

The ability to survey the rest of the worlds communications gives the US a mighty edge in business advantage, trouble is we were part of the Echelon project but they wouldn't let us peek.  -  Either that or we didn't have a clue about how to use it...
