Atos subcontracts tests for new disability benefit to NHS
« on: February 18, 2013, 10:18:21 AM »
You couldn't really make this level of stupidity up!  cussing:

Quote
Atos the company contracted by the Department for Work and Pensions to carry out medical assessments of people claiming benefits, has subcontracted elements of the work back to a number of NHS trusts in England.

So the government pays a private company to carry out these services. And the private company then outsources these services to... the government!  Banghead

It gets worse every day, truly it does...

From the point of view of many disabled people this makes a lot of sense ..... At least the medical examinations will be carried out by professional health care workers rather than odd-balls and immigrants paid minimum wages who have been taken on just for short term employment to satisfy the need for staff caused by Atos winning the contract ~ which the NHS trusts ignored when given the chance.

That said and as one of the disabled scroungers until reaching 65 last year it looks fvcking stoopid!
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
