They are everywhere in London 
Leaving my flat I can go to the Serbians, or the Portuguese, the Italians, the French, the French again or the Poles. All in 100 yards.
If I turn left instead I have a choice of 6 more.
How the feck do they all survive? Every time I go into one I am the only customer.

Basingstoke is teeming with them, see also nail salons, there's at least six of them, hairdressers/barbers, at least eight of them... then the phone shops As Boogs said, there's supposedly no money around

There is definitely money around. When McDees and coffee shops start having "hiring" signs (and they do) it's a sure sign of an upturn
