Windrush Ventures spent almost £13 million on ‘administrative expenses’, allowing him to offset his income and reduce his corporate tax bill from £693,000 in 2013 to £293,000 in the last tax year. Mr Blair has also benefited from a reduction in the Corporation Tax rate, introduced by the Coalition. The administrative expenses are not specified in the accounts but their scale allows Mr Blair to greatly reduce the company’s tax bill. It is thought the expenses refer to hotel, flight and subsistence for his international staff as well as for his own travel.Mr Blair largely travels the world on a private jet and is especially fond of a £30m Bombardier Global Express, that has been dubbed Blair Force One.
