That's what friends are for.
« on: September 19, 2007, 08:00:08 PM »
I've had this happen to me before, but I still come back for more. ::)

Did a job for someone I know on Monday, and he was supposed to come around at 7pm tonight to pay me, cus he hadn't got the money yesterday when I fitted his newly leathered seat back in his car.
Needless to say, he hasn't turned up, and I'm now out of pocket having already paid for the materials used.
I'm bloody fuming...again.

In future, if ANYONE that I know wants a job doing, they can PISS RIGHT OFF!

I'm sure I've done a rant about this before, but I cannot find it in here.
Just searched all 30 pages of titles. ::)

Too right Growler!

I gave up being nice back in 1999 and am much happier for it.

I had apparently high expectations of people in that if you helped them out they may one day return the favour not a chance.  Mrs H is still nice and gets let down on a regular occurance.

I got some ladies boots from work the other day for one whole pound to give to the wife they were too big so were given to my sister.  Yesterday when she wanted a small loan I pointed out that she still owed me a pound, jokingly, and she replied that i could deduct it from the cash owed to her for looking after our kids.  FFS, for a start i was taking the piss and secondly i didn't realise spending time with her niece and nephews was such a drag.

She was denied the loan on the grounds that she knew the cost of everything and the value of nothing!
