Welcome home!
Now you can p'raps understand why we're all so bloody bitter and twisted in 'ere.
I know... and it pissed down all day...
Still, I'm off to Brooklands today...

Lucky bugger. Never been there, but it's on my 'must visit' list.
Awesome, well worth it, enjoyed every bit - especially the Concorde exhibition!
I'm surprised you didn't go Sunday when the Bristols are to be on show...... !!!!
Snigger!
Unfortunately, I am otherwise engaged on Sunday…
To be honest, there was too much to see in one day already.
They let you on most of the aircraft and have volunteers that can tell you something about them and the controls, etc. You can get into the cockpit of the VC10 too!
The sad thing was realising that this was the hub of British aviation, design and production, Wellington bombers and Hurricanes were manufactured there in vast numbers (they built a Wellington from scratch to taxiing out in 24 hours once), they built among other things the Viscount and Vanguard, BAC111, VC10 and 30% of the fuselage sections of all Concorde where built there. (breathe) Plus they did loads of the structural testing of Concorde there…
Yet now it is a museum and the UK makes what – the Wings of Airbus?
