Scotland Yard said the men were charged with "conspiring to possess money for terrorist purposes". http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7047931.stm

FFS I mean they might be guilty as sin, but conspiring to possess money? That's it.. we should all go straight to jail.

There was a Python sketch I seem to recall, that went along the lines of... "PC Tomkins, I've been looking at your charge sheets, and much as I find your enthusiasm commendable I must remind you that having big lips and curly hair is not in itself a criminal offence ..."

I thought exactly the same on reading the story. Arrested for thinking about getting money to commit a terrorist act.
