--- With intent to throw!

'Arrested for assault with a slice of cucumber'

Copper get tough with 'Middle England' because of targets to meet.

WTF is going on?

If there was a shortage of people that are making a mockery of civilised behaviour and deserve to see the inside of a cell, I could maybe forgive them.
But there isn't!  I get the feeling that your average bobby would turn his back on an armed robber because he can nick two others instead, for malicious intent to litter and deliberately thinking about swearing at a dog.

Is this the Grand Plan to get everyone's fingerprints on file?  Make everybody a criminal?

The country is a criminal cesspit the jails are full to bursting and plod is out in force intent on nicking everyone in the country for anything at all.

Unless ----- Ha, I've worked it out!  bom
They have been instructed to keep their arrest rate topped up but under no circumstances can it be for an offence that may carry jail time.  Keeping up appearances as it were.

It won't be long before we'll be importing Police from Iran and Zimbabwe, they can start filling up the hospitals instead of the prisons  evil:

It does appear to be all about revenue generation now.

On the news this morning they announced the introduction of roadside cameras to detect ?the most polluting vehicles?. Heaven forbid they should have police patrols driving around spotting vehicles belching smoke and actually being available to be called on in the event of a real crime being committed.
