Atenolol - guy I work with (heart attack 10 years) has just been taken off this because it is too expensive!

 shocked003 According to my cardiologist Atenolol is one of the oldest and cheapest beta blockers around. "Modern" thinking is that Calcium Channel Blockers are better but in my case I react badly to them.
