Noon or Midnight?

As an insomniac I spend many hours each night listening to the BBC World Service. They are running trailers for programmes starting at "12 p.m."

There is no such time Banghead

Agreed .... a most annoying habit that they have got into. It demonstrates that education is not what it was and that there are not even any ex-servicemen among them.
(Traditionally servicemen have always claimed that the clock goes from 23.59 tp 00.01 and that those two minutes are the only time you get to yourself. Not really true as the Queen To whom you have sworn allegiance) owns your body 24 hours a day but it does make the point that Noon and Midnight are the only descriptions that are correct.) I will even accept the horrible Americanised 12 Noon and 12 Midnight but there is certainly no 12 am nor 12 pm.
