I see from the Sunday Torygraph that the Government have spent £14.5m on external advisers to tell them how to handle the Northern Rock Debacle and to review the loss of 25 million personal records by HM Revenue and Customs sent by unregistered post.
Well for what it is worth Northern Rock would never have happened if HM Government had insisted on ALL banks and lenders continuing to obey the credit rules laid down by MacMillan's Government and followed by others of both parties until recently and they would not have lost the data had they followed their own procedures and parted with the items only on receipt of a signature.
I wonder what they will be willing to pay me for telling them those simple facts.
