Handy places to go when you've been barred from all major hotel chains and all your friends & rellies are mysteriously busy whenever you suggest you will be in their area  whistle:

Never tried 'em personally ~ must be a bit like those serviced offices that you rent by the hour............ Mind you there used to be a hotel in Amsterdam that one could book by the hour  whistle:

Oddly it was called "The Cok Hotel"

Perhaps not so oddly when I think about it.

You would have if you'd booked a room there  whistle:

I see from Google that it has gone upmarket now and become the "City Cok Hotel" and is no longer describing itself as a "Budget Hotel" which it was in the 1970s.

Number 2 tram from the Station ~ get of at the Vondel Park. Hotel was just up the road. By the tram stop was a bar that opened from 9.30 pm until breakfast. ~ Happy Days  cloud9:

Then you will remember the "Crazy Horse" Bar on the other side of the road.
I got into a lot of trouble by going there whilst on a city break with Mrs S#1. She had a "headache" and went to bed early ~ I said I was going for a stroll and headed straight for the Crazy Horse (which I knew well from my previous visits) for a couple of beers. Got back to the hotel in time for lunch the next day. She was on the point of calling the police and reporting me missing. eeek: She couldn't understand that when you meet up with old "friends" in a bar like that you don't look at your watch.
