Agencies branded 'waste of money'

Could have told them that before they started ~ only they never asked.

All part of Prescott's legacy

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7548573.stm

Heard one of them being interviewed on Radio Four this morning ~ talk about rowing for the shore through a lake of bulls hit  ::) He was throwing figures about new jobs around all over the place but no mention of the cost until the man from the Small Businesses group got going. Then the truth started to come out and the Quango bluster merchant blustered and ranted even more.

At the end of the day it is just another one of Nulabour's big ideas that has cost a fortune and achieved nothing.
Pigeons are coming home to roost and pretty soon Gordon will have nowhere left to hide, meanwhile Blair and Prescott are well out of it and laughing all the way to the bank. B@st@rds! cussing:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Yes! ~ By changing their names, making new appointments from the ranks of their own friends and supporters and life will go on much as always. Same troughs, different snouts.
TBH since "retirement" I have enjoyed a measure of "expenses" by sitting on various minor committees and groups set up with grand words and promises of the new Jerusalem. They have all been a complete waste of time and money. Originally I really thought that I was putting "something back in" but I soon realised that it is all the same gravy train and that the same faces kept turning up. From their conversations over the free lunches I quickly learned that there is a whole class of demi politicos devoted to making their living out of this. I also realised that I was a "token" and that I was invited into the fold solely for the appearence of "Community Involvement" and that in reality I could talk all day and make no difference to the outcomes, which had been decided in Westminster's "Marbled Halls" long before the question ever reached us.
