Blears attacks political bloggers
« on: November 06, 2008, 06:16:53 AM »
Quote from: BBC Web Shite
Political blogs are fuelling a culture of cynicism about politics, communities secretary Hazel Blears has claimed.

Ms Blears also attacked the "deeply unhealthy" number of government jobs given to career politicians with little experience beyond Westminster.

In a speech she said a new generation of working-class politicians was needed such as Labour's Dennis Skinner and Conservative maverick David Davis.

It's started... the demonization of blogging (AKA free speech) has started by labour…

Just like smoking, just like drinking, just like eating hamburgers they’ve started to chip, chip, chip away at our freedom to write (and read) blogs.

They’ll drip-feed stories of the ‘evil’ perpetrated by bloggers to the populace until they’ll cry out for blogs to be regulated…

It has started… RIP free speech.

They arent fuelling cynicism you imbecilic tart, what is fuelling cynicism is the self serving government we are currently saddled with as you have cleverly created an underclass who will keep you in power.
You expect us to pay extortionate taxes while happily eroding out rights and freedoms in order to combat a terrorist threat that you exacerbated by joining in on an illegal invasion of a foreign power. You claimed to be the sleazeless party but have shown yourselves to be just as corrupt as any other party, the difference being that you have less qualms about bullying anyone who could reveal it.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this but I agree with her on something though.  eeek:

Giving ministerial posts to poeple who have no relevant experience in that field is at best moronic.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Their every utterance can only be another nail.

I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
