So these animals have been let loose on the streets while the investigation is ongoing despite having destroyed this poor woman and her family. Now we will see ann the hand wringing and clamis that this government is doing more against violent crime than the tories did when they were in power but that is just bollocks. If this government really wants to tackle violent crime and gang culture then stop pissing around with laws that do nothing but erode out freedoms and liberties and start giving the police BACK their powers to actually stop scum like this.
You demonise terrorism and then claim that there are ongoing plots to defend against knowing that you can tell us you cant reveal details, cementing power using that nebulous fear while your untrained benefit scrounging underclass of voters run rampant safe in the knowledge that as long as they keep you in charge you will keep bringing out moronic laws and regulations which will protect them at the cost of their victims.
You claim you want to kick start the economy then start putting money into building prisons to keep scum like this off the streets. Give builders jobs constructing them and then more peope work staffing them. Then let the justice system dispense justice, not the travesty it now has which does nothing bot to add insult to the victim's injury.
A disabled woman has described how a gang of four youths took it in turns to slash her with a carving knife after killing her Yorkshire terrier.
Kerri Delacruz, 38, was attacked at her home in Yewtree, Liverpool, when she found the body of her dog, Willow.
The gang threatened to kill her and her children before slashing her in the chest, back and face.
Six people, aged 13-24, have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault and cruelty to animals.
Ms Delacruz, who has degenerative joint disease, said her family's life had been destroyed by the attack.
The mother-of-three's ordeal began on 4 January when she found the body of her dog hanging from its collar on a stick in the back garden.
Ms Delacruz told the BBC four "yobs" then emerged from behind a shed and pushed her back into the house.
"They said if I made any noise they'd cut my throat and they'd wait for the children to come home and they'd kill them too," she said.
"I was absolutely terrified. I couldn't describe how frightened I was."
The gang pushed Ms Delacruz into her downstairs bathroom where the ringleader cut her across the face with a knife from her own kitchen.
She said: "They just passed the knife to each other and all took turns. It was like an out of body experience... It was like I was watching some kind of crazy horror movie. It was awful."
Investigations ongoing
Ms Delacruz and her children - one daughter and two sons - have been re-housed since the incident but are still "jumping at the slightest noise", she said.
"We know it's illogical because they can't get us now. People keep saying to me, 'Don't let them win Kerri'. But they have won... They've destroyed me. They've destroyed the children's lives."
"What worries me is that they are quite happy to have got away with this. What's next?"
Merseyside Police are continuing to investigate the attack on Ms Delacruz and her dog.
