My Dad used to keep ours in a sort of shelf up the chimney. The inevitable happened one day and he ended up burning his dressing gown whilst he was trying to pull it out.  ::)

At one point he kept it in the pool room that housed the motor that was in a deep hole by the side of the pool. He and my Mum were in England and he called me at 3am to say he had forgotten to get it out and put it in another hiding place. Could I please go and get it out as we were due rain and the pool room floods.  noooo:

We didn't put it there the people that built it did! And it would have cost too much to move apparently.
