« on: June 03, 2009, 09:21:00 PM »
Weird.  rubschin:

I do this on a regular basis for sending large files by email and never a problem. Tried to compress one today from 40Mb down to whatever; wouldn't budge an inch  Banghead
File size after compression... 40Mb

Tried Stuffing it, Zipping it, all the same... 40Mb.  What's going on?  Shrugs:

What sort of file is it like...?

Some files are already compressed (.jpg for instance) so you can't improve them...

I have sometimes found with ai files that they won't compress unless you do them on their own. So you would need three seperate zip files in this instance.

If that turns out to be the case we will have to buy you a new anorak for Christmas!

I have a horrible feeling you are going to get the anorak!  ;)

Not at all ~ bloody clever of you to know that IMHO.

You still qualify for the anorak but we'll leave out the trainspotters guide to Southern Region locomotives 1947 to 1955
