Iraq inquiry 'must be in public'
« on: June 22, 2009, 04:49:36 PM »
Quote from: BBC Web Shite
The chairman of the Iraq war inquiry, Sir John Chilcot, has written to the prime minister saying as much evidence as possible should be held in public.

In a letter to Gordon Brown, Sir John said it would be "essential" to conduct a mainly open process.

The government has been heavily criticised for announcing that the probe would take place in private.
