Car park wars
« on: September 06, 2009, 08:57:14 AM »
Outside my place there is  small car park for residents and visitors. It is labelled as private and we do have clampers patrolling every day and making a fortune  whistle:

The difficulty is we are also just off a red route, near the high street and a mosque and 2 churches.

This week has been pure joy in terms if entertainment. As it has been Ramadan the car park has been full and overspilling most nights with locals finally going to feed their faces at the mosque. The clamping company know exactly what to expect and have been reaping the benefits. The arguments have been monumental. Not helped by the Polish builders blocking in several of them as they were taking their spaces . But rightfully so - we all pay for the car parking facilities.

Today there must be something going on at the Church and from early morning the car park has been filling with Range Rovers and Mercedes and Volvo's ( this must be the profits of a catholic upbringing  eeek: )

Anyway clampers have just been round again and one bloke has returned to pick up something from his car ( his conscience perhaps  lol:) and has got into almighty row with clampers. Honestly the language was very unchristian  lol:

Not helped though by the clamper asking the very posh looking gentleman if he can read. To which he of course got totally offended and said of course he could read , how dare you etc and the clamper then turned round and simply pointed to the sign that he had parked under

That'll be ?80 not going into the collection tin this morning  lol:
