Ooooooooo! We had a bedsit on Windmill Hill, Enfield, when we first started out together.

We loved it there ~ "our first home" and all that shite ..... but seriously Enfield was a pretty good place to live. Convenient for Town but far enough out to be affordable. Mrs S#2 had found the bedsit and was moving out from North Finchley where she flat shared with another girl (I think their "friendship" was strained by sharing) meanwhile I had finally split with wife#1 and since SWUTWTBO gained custody of the house it seemed a natural progression to move into the bedsit together. Surprisingly the landlord didn't seem to mind and DIDN'T charge any more rent.
Mrs S#2 and I both worked for the same company which had relocated its Regional HO from New Barnet out to "The edge of the known universe" (Potters Bar) so we "Boldly went" etc
