It's the needle in the belly to inject the insulin I hate most. Fortunately I am mainly controlled with pills and diet these days but in extremis I have to self inject. Used to have to do it daily ..... I really don't know how some manage having to inject four times a day. The finger pricking is bad enough ..... you run out of places to do it that aren't already sore.
Back wken I was as student nurse one of the other student was diabetic and trialling an insulin pump (the first one in the county if memory serves). Dont think the results were quite as good as they had expected, possibly because she used every available opportunity to get well and truely rat arsed and would go for anything sweet soon afterwards.
