Well, I got slated earlier on today after posting a fairly tame video (The Buttmans in the comedy room) which I though was quite funny and inoffensive to VPers.

However these two videos above are absolute shite. I find it hard to imagine that anyone could find these videos remotely funny, let alone hilarious, yet where are the two 'critics' this evening who slagged me off? Probably too worried to say anything against two established posters.

I say again, absolutely shite, the woman was absolutely correct, and all the comedian could do was throw his toys out the pram and come out with a tirade of bad language to cover his inadequacy. He actually came out with words 'My jokes are a lot better if I don?t have to explain them' Fucking wanker! Completely out of his depth  evil: evil:

Comedy can be a bit like Marmite, Pirate.  Personally, I love the Simpsons but it leaves Mrs TMRBB cold. I have put quite a few Bill Hicks videos up on the VP and the one above is purely a badly recorded one of him where he gets heckled - he dealt with it is his own way, which is a way I found shockingly funny. It's by no means his best material, but goes to reinforce his style which was - basically - to point out to the people of the US of A that there is a world outside their own prejudices and idiocy. Check him out on You Tube - I hope you see more to him. Prior to him, my favourite was Billy Connolly, but he is actually quite "tame" compared to what Bill brought to a global audience.  It's just a tragedy he died so young.

A book about him - "Love All the People" - is worth a read.

I don't believe the comedian in the first video was out of his depth, though, I just think the audience member was at the wrong gig - a bit like I was when I asked Gerry Adams to sign my Rangers shirt. I went in looking for a fight and got it. So did she in my opinion.

Like TMR says, different people have different things that make them laugh...

I laughed out loud at the first video I posted and thought the woman was either a plant or was in completely the wrong place.

I thought Bill Hicks was a bit OTT but nevertheless funny.

TBH I didn't even click on your but head thing as it didn't appeal to me at the time...

Now that is fucking hilarious in my humble opinion but then perhaps others won't think so...  noooo:

I didn't click on the Butt Head video either.

Bad Moderating by us both then BM  surrender:

Seriously ~ I agree with TMR some people find things funny and others don't. I love Billy Connelly but the wife can't stand him therefore if I went to one of his shows I would not take her. ~ Who I would take is a state secret  whistle:

I shall now go view the Butt Head video.

OK ~ It made me smile twice and snigger once but whilst not offensive it wasn't really funny ......sorry

I clicked it this morning but didn't watch it all... I think I lasted 56 seconds...  redface:

It was as I expected an excuse for a series of rather lame 'bum' jokes.

Sorry Pirate...

No?you're missing my point.

The vid I posted was shite?after all it is called The Buttmans?but it was light-hearted innuendo?then two people found the time to post negative comments about it. I don?t mind that and I agree other people have different views.

What I'm saying is that the vids you and TMR posted were full of offensive and abusive language, directed at members of the audience, who in my view did very little to deserve such abusiveness?their comments were very much what a 'professional' comedian should expect from an audience.

What I'm saying is that the vid I posted was tame and raised two negative comments, when the other vids were posted, no-one commented?it was as though the vids were perfectly normal and acceptable, and sorry, but I don't. If that abuse had been directed at me, I would have been on the stage a bit rapid I can tell you.

Rant over

"Offensive and abusive language". What sort of a fu***ng c**t goes to a live comedian and expects to hear wit said in the Chaucer style? Only fu**witted wa*ksticks with bo**ox for brains and sh*t-stained nappies would get offended by it. Bunch of c**ts.
