I understand that the BNP are contributing to the Pakistani Relief Appeal Fund.

They sent 6000 crocodiles.

Pakistan's neighbour India has offered to help with flood relief by sending thousands of towels.

It's all they could think of off the top of their heads.

Bringing this back on track, ahem, I've been stewing on an aspect of this the whole week when an email read out on PM (R4) just now captured it exactly.
Earlier in the week a BBC news reporter from the region mentioned Pakistan was such a poor country ...

And the email, to paraphrase, "How can Pakistan, a nuclear armed country (and all that implies) have the audacity to ask for aid for its beleaguered people?"

No ~ I'm sorry but if you live in a monsoon prone country and build your houses out of mud whilst building up enormous quantities of nuclear weapons, armed forces and throwing $$$$ millions in support to our enemies then you really do have a fvcking cheek asking us to help

Yep. Ooops.  Spot on.
