Senior Labour MP calls for strike action
« on: October 04, 2010, 01:17:42 PM »
If you come for us we are coming for you? How many people are there who like me are currently looking for work? Strike by all means, something tells me that your positions will be filled 'temporarily' duing the strikes and then you will be phased out replaced by those taken on due to 'budget cuts'

Quote
A SENIOR Labour MP joined militant union leaders yesterday in calling for strikes and “civil disobedience” to fight spending cuts.  Veteran socialist John McDonnell said it was time to “fight back” against coalition plans to tackle the deficit. The hard-left backbencher, MP for Hayes and Harlington, was joined by Mark Serwotka, general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union, as they addressed a rally of thousands protesting outside the Conservative Party Conference.

Mr McDonnell warned the coalition: “If you come for us, we’re coming for you. We’re coming with our demonstrations, our strikes, our civil disobedience and direct action. This is no time to sit on the sidelines, this is a time to fight back.”
Mr Serwotka said strikes “are inevitable”.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Arrest the pair of them.
Incitement to commit criminal acts is an arrestable offence and as far as I am concerned threatening "We are coming for you" and "Direct Action" are both statements that could lead to a breach of the peace which is an arrestable offence as is making any statement or taking any action likely to or actually causing alarm, fear or fright.

I am prepared to swear in court that their words lead me to be fearful of my safety.

Let them try their defence out in a court of law ~ after a period on remand of course eveilgrin:
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Looks like the pound sterling will go into freefall due to the unions (who will want to invest in the UK if the unions cannot be bothered to turn up for work?  ::), bit of a problem me thinks.

And I find out today that my state pension will be paid a year later than expected.

I might have to ask for a twelve month tab BM.  whistle:
