Consulting people about things
« on: November 08, 2010, 01:38:23 PM »
Just finished a piece of werk which needs to be commented on before it is published. The comments returned nearly all contradict one another and are therefore impossible to include, for the most part. I made some changes and then other people commented on the changes, disagreeing with them  cussing:

I just feel like doing my own thing and sending a hearty V sign to the commenters, all of whom, inevitably, are wimmin  cussing:

They have nothing better to do. Inviting comment is simply asking for trouble.

I would write to them all, thanking them for their valuable contributions and comments. Tell them that you have taken all their suggestions into consideration in your final submission.

Which will of course be unchanged. angel1

If anyone of them comes back to complain tell her that you had to weigh her comments against others that countered it and unfortunately the majority won

May I suggest that you let Miss D, Tipsy and I consider the above sentence and suggest some much needed and long winded changes. angel1

You're probably right Snoops.  I don't know some people just are not willing to accept help when it is needed. noooo:

I was with him when he took a conference call from "The Coven"  noooo:

37 minutes during which time he said hello, nodded twice and spoke no more than 12 words and a third of them were to say "thank you and goodbye". They were still each butting in on one another when he rang off. Frankly I don't think they noticed he had left.

Getting a werd in edgeways seemed to be the problem. I was sat across the table, in the pub garden, and I could hear The Coven screeching! They even drowned out the passing tractors! I am sure not one of them was listening to what anyone else was saying. Several monologues going at once.
