Frightening the cheeldren
« on: January 12, 2011, 11:45:30 AM »
My "garden" overlooks the playground of the small kindergarten next door. I just popped out for a fag. It is playtime. Several four year olds playing with some wind chimes.

Having nothing else to look at I gaze vaguely in their direction.

One points at me. Wailing begins.

"Miss, miss!! That man is watching us"  eeek:

More wailing and pointing

I dive back inside the house  scared2:

I hear them reporting to "Miss" that I have been watching them.

I expect the plod here any minute  scared2:

Teechers specialise in giving children too much information in the hope that they are protecting them.

"Stranger Danger" is now an established part of pre-school teaching.

Anywhoo ~ It's your bloody flat, why not smoke indoors? ... There is no Mrs Nick to bollock you for it. I smoke in my study ... damned if I can see why I should not since:
(i) I Pay for the fecking house
(ii) I Either carry out the redecoration or pay someone to do it
(iii) I refuse to stand outside in the cold/rain or whatever to smoke a ciggy

I do not smoke in rooms used by others but if they want to come into my room they can put up with the smoke/smell etc.

Bring back the Gentlemen's Smoking Room I say!

PS ~ Any complaint from the school counter claim about the noise of the wind chimes.... you are entitled to stand in your own garden and you are entitled to "Quiet Enjoyment" of your home and that includes the garden!
