It really wasn't so long ago was it?
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

When in receipt of the usual bollocking from a cardiologist, who looked about 18 years old, about my smoking I pointed out that it wasn't so long ago that doctors advertised cigarettes as being beneficial. He refused to believe that it had ever happened.
Bloody Kids! 6 years in university/medical school and still they know nothing!!

He also failed to understand my quip that I wanted a doctor who knew what he was doing .... not one that was still practising. The staff nurse who was accompanying him got the joke.  ::)
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
