Slightly unrelated, but talking about BIG companies, I had Royal Sun Alliance threatening me 5 years ago...car nicked whilst in my charge etc etc., longish story.
The dealer was paid out for the loss, so the insurance decided to take me on to get it back.
I admitted 25% liability and sent them a c/q. This was retuirned saying they wanted payment in full. I told them to get stuffed, and see you in court.
Strange. I've never heard from them since.
They've got 1 more year to take me on apparently, but the solicitor reckons they decided it wasn't woth the hassle and bad publicity if they lost.

The thing is the rely on the "little people" not actually going to court.
BTW did you know you can now do it all on the net (if the debt is under £5k) and if they .

I'm actually a half decent size, so that normally is sufficient to put the shits up 'em. eveilgrin:

I didn't know about this small claims on line method.
Tell me more. Have you used it, and is it cheaper to get the ball rolling?

I haven't used it personally but our treasurer (magazine) suggested we should use it for advertisers who don't pay as it saves having to go to the court to lodge the papers etc. Costs and all details can be found at:

I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

The chasing of this bad debt goes on (and on and on and on and I think yuo get the picture !)

Since the last post the most recent avoidance methods employed by the scum is that after being able on Tuesday 24th July to contact both Directors of this company on their previous mobile numbers both have suddenly changed mobile numbers (wonder why) but I am using their 'special' 24 hour contact number they post on their security (don't make me laugh) web site which they can't turned off...otherwise they might use customers themselves

I have now been advised by the 2nd Director (who is frankly a little weasel) that 1st Director (the Sir) is away back in the UK until Monday next week but he promises me that it will all be sorted out immediately Sir gets back and that I will have our owed money by the end of the week ..... am I supposed to be grateful they are now (maybe) going to pay their bill from Jan and May of this year  Angry9:

I will have to see what happens by next Wednesday but I am already training up the Company vultures for a fly by of thier premises ............. Either that or I'll stop by Sir's posie Bentley and key the paintwork  cussing:

Would you like me to ask my cousin Alfredo Selezzione to pop over from Sicily and explain to 'Sir' the benefits of retiring with a full quota of kneecaps?
