The Big C

I heard yesterday that two people I know have been diagnosed with lung cancer. Neither one is a smoker!!

One, is writing a blog.

Our next-door-but-one neighbour had her lung removed on Tuesday because of lung cancer.

I was reading somewhere recently (I'll try and find it) how the rate of lung cancer is inversely proportional to the smoking rate - i.e. in the 1950s everybody (~90%) smoked yet lung cancer was extremely rare. Now only 25% of the population smoke it is extremely common...

 My brother has just been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Not sure if I should send a card.  Congratulations on your diagnosis doesn't seem right really. noooo:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I had me prostatey giblets checked a few weeks ago.
One of the most harrowing experiences of me life it was, but the quack seemed to enjoy himself. rubschin:

Commiserations Growler I believe it is something that most people have to have done at least once in their lives.  Not  many enjoy it I don't suppose.
