Is it just me that 
's at the mention of the town named Littlehampton?
We had a boy at school who rejoiced in the name of Woodcock ~ everyone (including staff) called him Oakhampton..... many an error was made on Parents' Days 
I used to work alongside a building inspector with the same name, and have a female colleague with the same name, both were/are known as Timber-dick
