The disappointments were there waiting for me sadly, but all paled into insignificance by the sheer and almost unbelievale beauty of the country. eeek:
A total feast of sensory overload is the best way to describe Swizzyland. cloud9

I was there 1970 for six months, and for two weeks in '74. You describe it well  cloud9:  cloud9:  cloud9:

I'd luv to go on a whopper of an 'oliday there for several weeks  to explore a bit more like, but it's financially totally out of the question.
44 piggin' SF's for a 1 hour 10 mile return trip on a bus up to the foot of the Wetterhorn for a 'oofin' about for the afternoon...that's about 34 snotaroonies in Inglish like! eeek:
20 snots 'll get you a basic 1 course meal. Gunisee...if you like it,  sick2:  werks out at about 6 squiddlies. eeek:

When I was there for six months, that was convalescence, one of the reasons was what was described to me as the "thinner air" at 6,000ft, so yes, you would feel puffed out
