New handset for the landline
« on: October 16, 2011, 05:48:21 PM »
My old Cable & Wireless handset was beginning to go on the blink; it must be getting on for 10 years old so I've purchased a new one  cloud9:

Siemens Gigaset  eeek: . It said, and I do read the manual, fully charge and then let it completely discharge before use ... 230 hours of standby  eeek: that's nearly 10 days!
Bollix to that, I've started loading the memory and playing with the ringtones ... there's a nice Wallender'ish one I might use.

What d'you use?

Set of four Binatone "Activity 1000" handsets that link the main rooms to my study and enable me to divert calls to wherever the intended recipient is or pick up calls from whichever room I am in.

Single Binatone "Style" on the second line in my study only.

They do have different ringtones but both systems are set to sound like telephones ... no music.
