How do you measure stubborness ?
« on: October 28, 2011, 09:28:46 AM »
The Brat has had a falling out with her dad  ::) - this has been going on for a few weeks  ::) . She is due to go to his this weekend and is bloody well going  evil:

I tried to talk to her yesterday about resolving the argument - she admits it was her fault  but because he 'allowed ' her to strop off back home at 9.30 at night and wouldn't give her any bus fare - thus putting her life in imminent danger as it was a half hour walk  etc etc etc .....give her an Oscar  ::) ...she is not budging  Banghead

I have also tried talking to her dad yesterday and explaining what her thoughts were...he resorts back to her actions which caused the initial argument , which absolutely were not acceptable , and he is not budging  Banghead

I lost it with both yesterday and  as both are as stubborn as each other and can sort it out yourselves this weekend.

I was explaining to madam that I thought she was the most stubbornest person I know .....and her retort was " how do you know , how can you measure stubborness ...that's just a stoopid statement "  Explode:

At that age they have an answer to everything. Regrettably logic doesn't come into the equation.
Yes her father was perhaps a bit careless in sending her to walk home late at night but he too probably acted in anger.

As for how do you measure how stubborn a person is ~ you can only judge against your own willingness to compromise and then look around at others you know to make a judgement.

She may be the stubbornness person you know but the THW would give her a good run for her money.  evil:

Maybe we could arrange a THW v. Brat argument. I'd pay.

Perhaps Mrs Nick would care to take on the winner. whistle:

Last night Woodstock and I were discussing the kids. She usually looks to me to supply answers on the grounds that I have raised a family before and must therefore have previously come across whatever problem we have. I felt obliged to point out that all kids are different and unfortunately it is trial and error with each one.
I stoopidly went on to add "Unfortunately they don't come with an instruction manual"

Her reply?

"You wouldn't read it if they did"

Sadly I had no answer to that.   redface:

I suggest Mrs DS #2 would wipe the floor with all of them.

She could start an argument in an empty room.

Mrs Snoopy#1 had a habit of having arguments with me in my absence. We would have huge rows that I knew nothing about.

Everything she wanted to say was rehearsed, my every reply was anticipated so when I eventually arrived home I would be greeted with

"AND ANOTHER THING"

I never knew what we were arguing about or what I had done wrong. Hard to defend....... It got so I just turned round at the door and went to the pub as soon as she started, staying there until fairly certain she would be asleep.
