If you work in the private sector and get sacked for gross misconduct then you are out on your ear with whatever you have earned up to that point. So what is the justification for paying this guy £200k. How many constables could be employed for a year with that money instead?  Banghead

In the private sector, helping a relative get a job in the company wouldn't really be considered "gross misconduct.  Especially if said relative was good at the job. rubschin:
