Unplanned and unexpected odours
« on: November 01, 2011, 01:08:36 PM »
I bought some washing machine soap stuff at the weekend and used it for the first time yesterday. It turns out to be lavender flavoured. I smell like a tart's handbag  evil:

My butchers block has an odour of sweaty armpits from chopping and grating onions and garlic... sad32:

I am currently trying vinegar...I will try salt and vinegar next (cue smart reply from Darwin) and then lemons...any other bright ideas?

Sawdust and a scrubbing brush.
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Butchers of my acquaintance use salt to rub down a wooden block. whistle:

Scalding hot water and bleach also helps for the initial clean down ..... then coarse salt and elbow grease.
