Match fixing scandal
« on: November 04, 2011, 01:16:13 PM »
So, the cricket players were found guilty and sent down.

However, on thinking about all this on a broader scale, I have come to the conclusion that the bookies should be shouldering a great proprtion of the blame because of their sheer greed and incompitance.
Why are they taking bets for something that is quite obviously 'fixable' and wide open to fraudulent betting?

The fat lad jug eared Rooney's father is yet another one currently in the mix, and if found guilty, should also be locked up.
I mean why would ANYONE bet on some random player, playing for some random jockish team place a bet on him being sent off? confused:
It just doesn't make sense to me. Shrugs:

Easy to fix anyway. Just stop this bloody fixable betting. Simple!

Whilst I agree it seems odd for bookies to accept bets on such obvious fixes the fact remains that I have never met a poor bookie and therein is the answer.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

The Pakistan Cricket team have issued a statement expressing their shock at the involvement of three Pakistani players in match fixing and promised to clean up their act before the 2-1 series defeat to the West Indies next year.

That's outrageous. I'm not racist - racism is a crime. And crime is for black people...
