Bread Pudding
« on: November 20, 2011, 06:58:57 PM »
I remember bread pudding from my childhood, it was made most weeks by my mother using up the stale bread from the week before. It always tasted good.  Sometimes it was served hot but usually it was cold and sometimes we had butter on it.

Well, for the first time I made it yesterday. Good grief eeek: The amount of fat and sugar that goes into it is staggering, this is heart attack on a plate type stuff.  I have frozen the batch that I made yesterday but had to taste it, as this is to sell at an up coming event.  Tastes great and it only furred my arteries up a little bit.

I will be making more of it over the coming week to sell on Saturday by Sunday the population around these parts may well have halved. eveilgrin:

  That's the one I used JOM tastes fab.  I left out the sugar on the top as this is a Christmas thing so icing sugar and a twee stencil are going to be the order of the day.
