HTML email templates / package?
« on: November 21, 2011, 04:30:25 PM »
Anyone recommend an easy peasy HTML email package?  I might be getting into writing some and want to look at off the shelf templates first if poss.

Like all sensible queries.  noooo:

I may be missing the point, but isn't the standard Outlook option of 'send as HTML' all you need, or is it more complicated than that?

I'm looking at composing a promotional email for a client's customer database which will include images and text. A simplified version of the sort you probably get from Tescos, Sainsbury's, any retailer whose services you subscribe to.

When you send a personal email with images these are attachments and weighty and may bot necessarily display as you intended. Using an HTML template (as I understand it) you write links to the hosting server where the original promotion is stored and thus the intended promotion is delivered exactly as designed.

It seems there are off the shelf templates that don't require code writing knowledge ... as per my earlier link. If I can find a reliable, useable one of these then I might be able to get a result.
