Does this really work ?
« on: January 03, 2012, 06:39:23 PM »
My cousin has accidentally dropped her blackberry phone in the toilet today . She is having a bad day  noooo:

Her friends are suggesting " put the b berry in a bag of rice and then in the airing cupboard..works a treat"  eeek:

We shall wait and see tomorrow .

I believe this to be futile but hey what do I know  noooo:

What for dropping it or for suggesting the solution ?

Twas a bloke that suggested the solution and it's not like you are not familiar with the odd accident or two  whistle:

The THW dropped her iPhone into a canal (well akchewly she fell in holding it) I dried it out on a radiator overnight. Werked perfick the next day. Best is you take out the sim and battery and dry them by hand tho'

Take the battery out and leave it long enough and it should work. I store my truffles in rice to stop them going off.

You make no mention of what you did with THW, is she still at the bottom of a canal somewhere?

I am having strange mental images of Beerhead detaching his truffles and poking them into a rice pudding.  It's not nice at all. noooo: sick2:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

To resolve Miss C's worries I dried the THW and then took her to the surgery and had her injected against all the nasties she might have ingested along with several pints of canal water.  angel1

I wasn't there but I would imagine so.  ;)

I did ask, later, if they had needed to open the lock gates to replenish the water level.
