Pistachio nut breaker?
« on: January 05, 2012, 09:42:38 PM »
Got a monster bag of these delightful nuts, but must have a good dozen or so that haven't been split, so I consequently can't get to the juice. evil:
Don't want to lob them, so how do I get in please?

Nowt on Amazon. ::)

But I buy them in packs already shelled . Can't stand all the mess , or buying a pack when only half of them are openable  evil:

Top Tip for Growler ~ Try putting them in the oven for a few minutes ..... baking them sometimes makes them open.

 lol:A delightful thought. I use my thumb nails if there is just the tiniest hint of an opening.  If there is no hint of an opening it's the teeth option.  I love opening them it gives me the same sort of pleasure as popping bubble wrap.  I then feel that I should really do something useful with the shells. redface:

Could have sent her round to APC's with some fava beans and a bottle of Pino Grigo  whistle:
